Eminem - 3am Music Video Trailer

Well apparently they don't just release music videos anymore, they make trailers for them. I mean I understand a trailer for a 2 hour movie but don't think it's really necessary for a 3 minute music video.

Anyway, Eminem has released the trailer to his new single and music video "3am". This of course is off his upcoming album Relapse. The entire music video will premiere tomorrow, May 2nd, on Cinemax right before the movie The Strangers.

Saw this trailer on WWTDD, it's for Extract which is a new film by Mike Judge. The movie stars Jason Bateman, Mila Kunis, Ben Affleck and Kristen Wiig.

Where the Wild Things Are Trailer

Where the Wild Things Are is an upcoming 2009 film adaptation of the Maurice Sendak children's book of the same name. The film is directed by Spike Jonze and written by Jonze and Dave Eggers.

The film combines live action, suitmation, animatronics, and CGI. Its release is currently scheduled for October 16, 2009

Trailer for Mike Tyson Documentary "Tyson"

Tyson is a 2008 documentary film about boxer Mike Tyson. It was directed by American filmmaker James Toback, and produced by Nicholas Jarecki. It was publicly screened for the first time at the 2008 Cannes film festival. Tyson is scheduled for a 24 April 2009 release date, distributed by Sony Classics.

'Watchmen' Tops in the Box Office this Weekend

After all the anticipation and hubbub, the weekend is coming to an end and the box office results are here: "Watchmen" (No. 1) grossed $55.7 million during its first frame, according to early estimates from Media by Numbers.

That's a solid sum, to be sure, although it's certainly on the low end of most projections. "Watchmen" premiered in more theaters (3,611) than any other R-rated movie in history, and it averaged an impressive $15,413 per venue, despite a potentially problematic long running time.

It also scored the biggest debut of 2009 so far. Nonetheless, the movie's $55.7 million take (including $5.5 million from 124 IMAX screens) is substantially smaller than the $70.9 million that 300, the last R-rated graphic-novel movie from director Zack Snyder, earned on its opening weekend two years ago.

And aside from that theater-count statistic (which almost any film could break at any time, really), there will be no major records to report on this weekend (for example, "Watchmen's" debut was just the fifth-best opening ever for an R-rated movie).

I'd argue, in fact, that this opening is a bit soft, considering the great expectations that came with Snyder's adaptation of Alan Moore's landmark comic book -- not to mention "Watchmen's" hefty grosses from screenings at midnight on Friday and throughout its first day. After attracting some major initial interest, banking $25.1 million on Friday, the film's audience dropped off dramatically during the weekend: It grossed $19 million on Saturday and is expected to bring in just $11.5 million on Sunday.

These are all big numbers, don't get me wrong, but, when combined with the fact that the film got a lukewarm CinemaScore grade of B from an audience that was largely comprised of older men, it all points to a rapid downward trend that may be difficult to reverse in the weeks to come.

"Funny People" Trailer, Third Film Directed by Judd Apatow

Funny People is an upcoming 2009 American comedy-drama film, written, co-produced, and directed by Judd Apatow, starring Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen as stand up comedians. According to Apatow, the movie is due out July 31st, 2009. Similar to Apatow's previous films, the film would use both comedic and dramatic elements, though it will contain more of the latter. Funny People is in post-production as of January 2009. The film is a co-production between Happy Madison Productions and Apatow Productions. Universal Pictures and Columbia Pictures will co-finance the film, while Universal will distribute worldwide.

Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglourious Basterds' Trailer Released

I didn't really know anything about this movie so here's a quick blurb from Wikipedia:

Inglourious Basterds [sic] is an upcoming ensemble war film/spaghetti western written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. It has the largest cast of characters (with speaking roles) of any Tarantino film to date and is currently in production with several locations, among them Germany and France. Tarantino plans to complete production of Inglourious Basterds in time for release at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2009. Filming began in October 2008. The title (and partial premise) of the upcoming film is inspired by Italian director Enzo Castellari's 1978 movie Inglorious Bastards. The Weinstein Company has slated August 21, 2009 as the tentative U.S. release date.

Premise:
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "two story lines converge: One follows a group of prisoners-turned-soldiers whose mission is to take down a group of Nazis, and the other follows a young Jewish woman who seeks to avenge the death of her parents by this Nazi group."

The film will be divided into five chapters:

* Chapter One: Once Upon a Time in Nazi Occupied France
* Chapter Two: Inglourious Basterds
* Chapter Three: German Night in Paris (filmed in "French New Wave Black and White")
* Chapter Four: Operation Kino
* Chapter Five: Revenge of the Giant Face

That's right everyone. Today is the day that LOST junkies like myself have been waiting for. The new season of LOST premieres tonight at 9pm PST. A 1 hour recap show will air at 8pm PST. The 5th season premier will follow at 9pm and will run until 11pm.

Shark Footage from Strange Wilderness

So I just sent back Strange Wilderness to Netflix and while it wasn't that great of a movie (Happy Madison Productions has done much better) it did have some pretty hilarious parts. In short, the movie is about a guy who takes over his dad's successful and well loved nature show when he dies and runs it into the ground because he and his friends are losers who know nothing about nature. OK now that the synopsis is over time for you to enjoy the amazing shark footage from the movie. If you watch this video and think it's stupid, watch it a few more times, I promise it will grow on you.

I Love You, Man Trailer

Saw this trailer on TV last night and on first look it definitely seems like it has potential. You get Paul Rudd and Jason Segel in a movie together and you have comedy gold (ie Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall). I Love You, Man is about a guy who is getting married and since he's always been a "girlfriend guy" he doesn't have a guy friend to be his best man. Anyway, here's the trailer, see what you think.

Terminator Salvation Trailer

There's a new Watchmen trailer that just hit the internet last night and since you are already on the page and reading this I would suggest you watch the trailer below. Here's a little about Watchmen.

Watchmen is an upcoming 2009 American film that adapts Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' 1986 comic book limited series Watchmen. Directed by Zack Snyder, the film adaptation stars Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Matthew Goode, Stephen McHattie and Carla Gugino. Set in an alternate 1985, the film follows a group of former vigilantes as war begins to break out between the United States and the Soviet Union. The film began shooting in Vancouver in September 2007 for release on March 6, 2009. Like his previous film 300, Snyder closely modeled his storyboards on the comic, but unlike 300, he chose not to shoot all of Watchmen using chroma key and opted for more sets. [Wikipedia]

Lost: Season 5 Trailer

Looks like a trailer for Lost Season 5 has made it to the internet. There seems to be a lot of postings that go up and quickly get taken down off YouTube so hopefully the video I embed will stay working for a while. Anyway, Lost is a great show and let's hope they actually make some strides to tying up all the loose ends that have accumulated over the past 4 seasons. Here's a little more Season 5 info:

The seventeen-episode fifth season of the American serial drama television series Lost will commence airing on the American Broadcasting Company Network in the United States, and on CTV in Canada in either late January or early February 2009 and conclude in May 2009. The season continues the stories of the survivors of the fictional crash of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815, after some of them are rescued and those still stranded seemingly disappear to an unknown location and time with the island that they inhabit. According to Lost's co-creator/executive producer/writer/show runner Damon Lindelof, the season "is about why the [people who have left the island] need to get back". While the island stories of episodes of prior seasons were intercut with flashbacks or flashforwards of a featured character, the fifth season will be presented differently with part of each episode taking place off the island and the other part following characters on the island in a different time. Valkyrie Trailer

Valkyrie is a 2008 historical thriller film directed by Bryan Singer and starring Tom Cruise. The film is based on the July 20 plot of German army officers to assassinate Adolf Hitler. Cruise will portray the leader of the plot, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg. The release date for Valkyrie has changed numerous times, including a brief move to February 14, 2009. After several positive test screenings, the film's release was moved up to December 26, 2008.

Oliver Stone's new film "W." is set to be released October 17. W. is a biographical film based on the life and presidency of George W. Bush. The film is written, produced, and directed by Oliver Stone, and stars Josh Brolin as George W. Bush. Here's what Oliver Stone said about the film:

I want a fair, true portrait of the man. How did Bush go from an alcoholic bum to the most powerful figure in the world? It's like Frank Capra territory on one hand, but I'll also cover the demons in his private life, his bouts with his dad and his conversion to Christianity, which explains a lot of where he is coming from. It includes his belief that God personally chose him to be president of the United States, and his coming into his own with the stunning, preemptive attack on Iraq. 007: Quantum of Solace Trailer

Quantum of Solace is the 22nd James Bond film by EON Productions, due for release in the United Kingdom on 31 October 2008 and in North America on 14 November. The sequel to Casino Royale, it is directed by Marc Forster, and features Daniel Craig's second performance as James Bond.I'm pretty excited for this movie to come out. Pineapple Express Opens Today

The latest film from Judd Apatow is set to hit theaters today. Pineapple Express, a "stoner action film" starring Seth Rogen is the most recent comedy on Apatow's impressive resume which includes Anchorman, 40 Year Old Virgin, Talladega Nights, Knocked Up and Superbad to name a few.
