The Season 2 premier of Flight of the Conchords showed up online a month early.
The long-awaited second season of the show, which revolves around the offbeat comedic brilliance of New Zealand meta-pop nerds Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, premieres Wednesday on Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's online comedy clearinghouse Funny or Die.
Described by Wired magazine as "like a Kiwi version of Tenacious D," the show follows the oddball musical duo as they slog through lame gigs, lamer day jobs and ludicrous band meetings.
The half-hour Season 2 opener kicks off with one of those comic meetings of the minds, in which Bret and Jemaine dump clueless manager Murray (played by Rhys Darby).
In classic Conchords form, the management meltdown leads to a musical number that kicks off the long-awaited second season's story arc. [Wired]
